Along the banks of the Raisin River is one of the oldest homes in Ontario. This five-bay Georgian-style log house was constructed for Sir John Johnson between 1784 and 1792. With its associated grist and saw mills, the house became a focus for the community of United Empire Loyalists and later, for the fur traders of the North'west Company. |
